Even though our Editor Paul has been swamped with other projects, I held his feet to the fire and conned him into editing the footage the attendees gathered during the Dallas stop on the Canon Live Learning Tour. The result, CLL Dallas, is the second installment of our ongoing mini-mini-series, Video Victims Unit.
I'll be giving EOS HD Video Basics presentations and teaching HD Video workshops in Dallas and Seattle as part of the Canon Live Learning Tour. Here's a short test with my new Canon 7D fitted with a 17-55 f2.8 IS. All scenes were shot hand-held and the 7D was equipped with prototypes of our new iDC 7D Viewfinder and 7D Follow-Focus. The 7D Viewfinder is in stock now and I expect the first production run of the 7D Follow-Focus by 10/21/09.
If you read my posting about the Canon Live Learning Tour (Boston) you know that I wasn't 100% satisfied on my audio recording. We have updated the original video with some ADR (Additional Dialog Recording) to improve audio problems from the original capture.
At last! A new blog posting. Lots going on around here, including a catastrophic couple of weeks after lightning struck just outside our studio. The massive electrical pulse wiped out several high-dollar surge protectors, toasted a brand-new Mac tower, and wreaked havoc on one of our RAiD arrays. Big Fun!
